Japanese American Museum of Oregon is a 5000sf new museum in Old Town / Nihonmachi Portland. The museum showcases the history of Japanese American citizens in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. The museum includes a Permanent Exhibit, Temporary Exhibit, Collections Archive, Research Library, and Staff Offices. A special showpiece exhibit is the relocation of Min Yasui’s jailcell from the Multnomah County Courthouse building that was decommissioned in 2019.
